About Activated Bleaching Earth

ACTIVE-BLEACH is activated contact clay produced from natural occurring Montmorrilonite (Alumino silicate). With a layered a distinctive platelet likes structure. Acid activated bleaching is clay which chemically activated Smectite with mineral acid to produce high porous Alumino silicate with increased absorption properties. The bleaching clay is used to refine edible oils, fats mineral oils and hydrocarbons. It processed in an extremely controlled condition processed to give final product with purity and integrity.

  • Refining of Vegetable oils like:
    Cottonseed, Soybean, Sunflower, Rapeseed, Mustard, Peanut, Coconut, Corn, Olive, Rice bran, Palm, Palm-kernel, Linseed, Castor, Jojoba & Canola oils.
  • Refining of hydrogenated vanaspati Ghee oils.
  • Refining of Mineral Oils like:
    paraffin and waxes, insulating oil, rolling oil, white oil ,waste oil (lubricating oil), industrial triglycerides and fatty acids used for paints, varnishes and soaps.
  • Other applications like:
    Solvents (for dry cleaning),bleaching of sulphur, effluent treatment plants.

  • Bleaching efficiency
    High bleaching efficiency lowers bleaching costs. ACTIVE-BLEACH provides high bleaching efficiency that increases surface area. Fatty Acid Content The presence of very low mineral acid content in ACTIVE-BLEACH reduces the likelihood of increase in free fatty acid content during bleaching and deodourisation. Significant Chlorophyll Reduction. Small amount of ACTIVE-BLEACH is adequate to reduce chlorophyll levels significantly.
  • Filterability & Oil Retention
    Optimum filterability requires particles of uniform size. ACTIVE-BLEACH has been developed to filter high quantities of oil without chocking the filters. It enables speedy process even under normal operational conditions. With care taken in respect of the particle size distribution and product density, ACTIVE-BLEACH minimizes oil retention; thus reducing processing cost.
